It’s been an interesting few days for Dublin footballer Philly McMahon.
The Ballymun native delivered another outstanding performance in a season full of them in Dublin’s victory over Kerry on Sunday but has had to deal with plenty of flak over an alleged gouging incident involving Kieran Donaghy in the days since.
McMahon took to Twitter today to talk about a rollercoaster few days, but also to share a unique message of support he received in the build-up to Sunday’s game.
Granted, it contains an expletive or two and Aidan O’Shea might not be happy about not being recognised, but who wouldn’t be fit to run through a wall after hearing something like this?
