Rory Kockott doesn’t miss too often, but when he does, he certainly knows how to make up for it.
The South African hit an impressive 17 points as Castres beat Toulon 22-15 in a clash of the big guns in the Top 14 – or Top Quatorze as Gerry Thornley would prefer to call it – but it was his monstrous drop goal that was the score of the game.
The former Sharks man, who is eligible for France next season, was unlucky to see his penalty hit the post, but he atoned for that in lighting-quick time.
Toulon full-back Delon Armitage cleared his lines only to see the South African scrum half reagther, compose himself and knock over a brilliant three pointer.
Impressive stuff.
