Roy Hodgson was like a deer in the headlights as he faced the media on Tuesday, the day after England’s humiliating Euro 2016 exit at the hands of Iceland.
When you start a press conference with, “I don’t really know what I’m doing here” then you know there’s only one way things can go.

In fairness to Hodgson, he doesn’t pull any punches about England’s “wretched record” in the European Championships, but people were none too sympathetic with his use of the word “fragile” in particular.
