Ireland badly need a win today to restore morale. France remarkably have yet to win in the Six Nations. To say it is a pressure game is a slight understatement.

Declan Kidney is a man under severe pressure. After a spell-binding first half against Wales in Cardiff, things have taken a sharp turn for the worse. Throw in the captaincy issue, problems at number 10 and Ronan O’Gara’s dumping from the squad, a win today would go someway to restoring self-confidence.
As ever, RTE are back with another build-up clip to the big game, with Tom McGurk giving us a mini-history lesson as well as laying out some home truths for the current Irish side.
Let’s just hope the team can put things right this evening at the Aviva.
