JOE knows that the scrum can be a heated area where verbal insults are thrown, cauliflower ears are grown and where refs love to moan.
We do have some sympathy for this French referee (at least we think he’s French) after this scrum turned into a full-scale 30-man fight after just one minute on the clock.
It’s absolute carnage but if you’ve ever wanted to see what 16+ stone men look like when they try and beat seven shades of shite out of each other then this is for you.
The poor ref even gets swept up in the mayhem although we do love the image of the touch judge with his hands behind his back watching on, he couldn’t care less.
We reckon that this sort of carry on wouldn’t happen on Nigel Owens’ watch.
