When Nico Rosberg and Narain Karthikeyan collided at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, it didn’t look good for either driver, but thankfully they both emerged from what was a spectacular crash unscathed.
Only nine laps had passed during today’s race in Abu Dhabi when Rosberg went to overtake Karthikeyan on turn 15 only to see the front wheel of his Mercedes collide with the back right wheel of Karthikeyan’s HRT Cosworth and Rosberg went over the top of Karthikeyan and hurtled into the barriers at high speed.
Despite the spectacular nature of the crash and the peppering of debris all over the track both Rosberg and Karthikeyan emerged unscathed, but the safety car did come out for an extended period in an attempt to restore order on the track.
