An in-depth look at the life of a pro rugby player or an excuse for lots of shots of Tommy Bowe without a top on? You’ll have to watch ‘Bodycheck’ to find out.
Next Sunday night, as we are hopefully basking in the glow of whipping the Scots at Murrayfield, RTE are broadcasting a new documentary into the making of Tommy Bowe.
We say making but Tommy Bowe’s Bodycheck is really about how Bowe went from a relatively unknown schools player to an Irish international wing. The programme promises to look at all the aspects that may have led to Bowe’s success, from genetics to GAA to hours of gym work.
It also tells us it will look at his recovery from a series of injuries, including the knee ligament problem that rules him out of this year’s Six Nations campaign.
It should be a good watch as Bowe is an engaging character and with the Monaghan man spending most of this clip with his shirt off, we imagine your other half won’t mind watching this either.
The show is broadcast on RTE One at 9.30pm.
