La Marseillaise was played without incident at Vicarage Road.
Earlier this week, we brought you the news that the Premier League had decided to play the French national anthem before every game this weekend to commemorate the Paris attacks.
First up was the lunch time kick-off at Vicarage Road between Watford and Manchester United, where La Marseillaise rang through the stadium.
While everyone was highly respectful, the moment was of particular significance to French players Morgan Schneiderlin and Etienne Capoue.
