VIDEO: The Wales squad couldn’t contain their joy after Iceland beat England

Paul Moore

What else would you expect?

Wales are currently preparing for their Euro 2016 quarter-final against Belgium but much like the rest of the world, Chris Coleman’s side were glued to England’s meeting with Iceland in Nice.

Wales have been excellent in France as they’ve recorded impressive wins against Slovakia, Russia and Northern Ireland. Their only defeat came in that memorable match against England when a dramatic injury-time goal from Daniel Sturridge gave Hodgson’s side the three points.

During that match between the two bitter rivals, Joe Hart also made a clanger when he failed to parry Gareth Bale’s long range free-kick and the Manchester City ‘keeper was yet again at fault during the 2-1 defeat to Iceland.

The celebratory scenes in Reykjavík were special but the Welsh squad also seemed like they were enjoying the misery that was being inflicted on their local rivals.

Doesn’t Aaron Ramsey look like he’s having the time of his life?
