Video: The worst (and funniest) fall at the Giro d’Italia today was suffered by a spectator

There have already been a few falls at this year’s Giro d’Italia, but the worst one today was suffered by a poor unfortunate spectator.

Bradley Wiggins is amongst the cyclists to have fallen off their bikes at what has been a slippery Giro d’Italia at times to date so no doubt the reigning Tour de France champion will sympathise with the poor spectator who collapsed quite calamitously while keeping an eye on the race today.

Obviously distracted by Cadel Evans and the pack coming towards him (we can’t tell for sure but we think the unfortunate spectator is male), the cycling enthusiast in question wasn’t watching his footing and slipped to what could have been a quite nasty fall; the camera continued to follow the cycling so we’ve no idea as to the fate suffered by the spectator afterwards.

We’re sure he was perfectly fine afterwards but at least he’ll know that it’s not just the cyclists that have to keep their eyes on the road in future.

Hat-tip to Adrian Garry for giving us the heads up on this one
