Video: These Westmeath friends going crazy after Shane Long’s goal sums up how we all felt

The entire countries emotions in one short clip

The entire countries emotions in one short clip.

Sometimes in football a draw can feel like a win, especially when the equaliser comes in the dying minutes, just like Shane Long’s 90th minute goal against Poland.

To be honest, that performance was worthy of three points but Martin O’Neill and the rest of us will have to be content with just a single point.

While we’re not advocating a huge celebration for the fact that we dropped two points at home, Roy Keane must be proud of us after that statement, the draw could yet prove to be vital on the road to France 2016.

There’s no denying a point is better than none at all and the sheer feeling of relief, happiness and ecstasy when the Southampton striker found the back of the net is perfectly captured by these friends from Rosemount, Co.Westmeath.

Here’s JOE reader Darragh Healy sent this clip of him and his friends going absolutely ballistic and it made us laugh.

Take a look.
