A stirring, cinematic advert by Mayo GAA sponsors Elverys Intersport, proud sponsors of the Mayo team for 20 years, does just that, capturing all aspects of GAA in the county, from the application of the players themselves to the daily lives of the fans who live and breathe it.
The ad, titled ‘Greatness Awaits’, features exclusive unseen snippets from some of the Mayo squad’s most intense sessions and tells the story of an obsession for football and unquenchable hunger for the All-Ireland success that has eluded them for so long.
It’s an ad that will resonate with GAA fans everywhere but will get the hairs standing on the necks of Mayo supporters in particular and is the perfect appetiser for a mouth-watering All-Ireland semi-final with Dublin this weekend.
