Yep, we could easily envisage this being sung by the masses after a McGregor victory in the O2 on Saturday night.

We can’t think of many traditional Irish songs that include the words ‘60 gs baby’ in the opening line, but then again, never before (to the best of our knowledge at least) has there been a traditional Irish ode to Irish UFC star Conor McGregor.

Just in time for his hugely-anticipated meeting with Diego Brandao in Dublin on Saturday night, a man known as Patrick Scealtor has released ‘McGregor’s Fighting Flame’, a song that charts practically all of the important moments in The Notorious’ career to date and is pretty catchy too.

McGregor’s association with SBG gym warrants a mention, as does his blistering UFC debut in Stockholm and the crippling injury in only his second UFC fight in Boston, while his ‘gift of the gab’ and ‘mighty jab’ are hailed in a number which clocks in at just under three minutes.

If all goes to plan, it won’t even take that long for McGregor to be done and dusted with Brandao in front of an expectant home audience on Saturday night.

We can’t wait.
