God bless you, Santos.
Odds of 150/1 and Ireland’s record in past tournaments would lead a realist to suggest that Ireland’s chances of winning Euro 2016 are pretty slim.
But if, like us, you’re the optimistic type, then your faith in Ireland achieving the impossible will be reinforced by the prediction of a random Indonesian guy sent into us by JOE reader Fionnan Keogh this morning.
The video has been on YouTube since December but for some unfathomable reason it has garnered less than 400 views in the time since.
The star of the show, Santos, unfortunately, also predicted glory for Ireland in Euro 2012 and we all know what happened next.
He has plenty of reasons to back the Boys in Green this time around, however, including the colour orange in our flag, an optimistic coach and Greece’s unlikely success in 2004.

Fanciful as idea of us winning the tournament may seem, it’s nigh on impossible to watch this – the music, the crude Mission Impossible reference, it’s all great – and not feel more optimistic afterwards.
Thank you Santos, thank you.
Cheers to Fionnan Keogh for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, editorial@JOE.ie or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
