Cosmin Moti is now a lifetime hero to the fans of Ludogorets, and rightly so.
We might not even have gotten to the group stages yet, but we might already have the story of the Champions League 2014-15.
Bulgarian side Ludogorets lost the first leg of their Champions League qualifier against the mighty Steaua Bucuresti 1-0 but they managed to equalise at home in the second leg tonight and take the game all the way to a penalty shootout.
The one small problem Ludogorets had with this was their keeper was sent off just before the pens and they had used all their subs. Centre half Cosmin Moti stepped into the breach, but not before he rattled the very first spot kick for the Bulgarians.
He then went on to save two of Steaua’s, effectively putting his team through by himself. Hero
