There are certain moments when football fans can laud their superior knowledge of the beautiful game over others.

Admit it, we all feel pretty good if we can give an articulate breakdown of the offside rule, recite the exact transfer fees for specific players or name the reasons as to what separates a direct from an indirect free-kick.

There are other people in football though who are so stupid that it makes our heads hurt.

Take a look at this high-school or college match that took place in America as a player lines up to take one of those front-flip throw-ins.

To his credit, the ball travels some distance but why the goalkeeper feels the need to touch the ball into his own net is beyond us.

Maybe it’s Peter Enckelman in goal and he still hasn’t learned that it’s illegal to score directly from a throw-in.
