Now this is how a Brazilian midfielder scores…
Manchester City failed to capitalise on Chelsea’s draw with Southampton at St Mary’s this afternoon as Burnley fought back from a two goal deficit at Eastland’s to claim a brilliant point in their battle to beat the drop.
David Silva opened the scoring for the hosts with a goal that caused some foul-mouthed reaction but Fernandinho’s goal was even better.
The Brazilian has largely been used in a holding role since joining the club but after seeing this strike against Sean Dyche’s men we hope that this will soon change.
Take a look at the curl, power and bend that he generates on this strike. To make things better, it goes in off the bar. Wonderful.
This didn’t prove to be enough though as goals from George Boyd and Ashley Barnes gave the visitors a point.
