Need some tips picking the winners in the second round of Heineken Cup games this weekend? George Hook and Donal Lenihan might be able to help.
Leinster’s trip to Scarlets, Connacht v Harlequins at the Sportsground and the meeting of Leicester Tigers and Ospreys are some of the standout clashes this weekend.
Like the 1,300 + people who are already playing Heineken’s Star Predictor, the online match prediction game, George Hook and rugby legend Donal Lenihan have been busy making their match predictions for round two of the Heineken Cup.
Hooky is looking to retain his position at the top of the Star Predictor league and is boldly predicting that Leicester Tigers will be beaten by Ospreys at Welford Road, an opinion that Lenihan doesn’t share with the broadcaster. Somebody not agreeing with George? Surely not…
Neither Hook nor Lenihan can see Connacht upsetting Harlequins for the second time in 2012, but both are confident that the other three Irish provinces will taste victory.
The predictions of both Lenihan and Hook are probably worth heeding more than the opinions of Jerry Flannery and Malcolm O’Kelly, which you can see over here, where you can also listen to the first edition of JOE’s Hard Yards Heineken Cup Rugby Podcast.
If you fancy having a go yourself, head over to Heineken Star Predictor on the Heineken website, where your rugby knowledge could help you win tickets to next season’s Heineken Cup Final at the Aviva Stadium, with weekly prizes of Heineken Cup match tickets also up for grabs.
Best of luck!
