Galway and Roscommon played out a draw game in today’s Connacht Final,and will have to do it all over again… although we hope for a better game next time.
The conditions played a role, but so did the heavily defensive set ups of both teams, in creating a game Joe Brolly described as “football diazepam”.
However, there was one highlight in the game as referee Conor Lane got a little over enthusiastic in his brandishing of a black card and nearly took out Donie Shine’s eye…
