“The worst thing you can say to a Swede is that Zlatan is overrated.”
Daniel Kristofferson is a sports’ journalist for Expressen in Sweden, one of the biggest newspapers in the country.
He’s been talking to JOE about the eagerly anticipated clash of Ireland and Sweden at the Stade de Francais in Paris on Monday night.

JOE: Who’s gonna win our game and why?
Daniel Kristofferson: We will win. We have Zlatan Ibrahimovic in exceptional form and he is enjoying life on the football field at the moment so he will be deadly I think.
Erik Hamrén has also done a good job in the two last games to handle our problem in defence with 0-0 against Slovenia and 3-0 victory over Wales.
JOE: Who are Swedish fans/pundits talking about on the Ireland team?
Martin O’Neill has done a good job and Ireland are playing very fun and entertaining football to watch. It’s not just primitive passing from defence up to a target attacker.
They play a possession game and that is not going to suit Sweden very well.
JOE: What do you think about Roy Keane/Martin O’Neill? How would you describe them?
They seem to be pretty much the opposite of each other! Roy Keane is crazy, screams at every player and seems to have already have upset some players. But he is an icon amongst Irish fans.
Martin is calm and seems very reasonable. In Sweden we know him very well after he had Henrik Larsson in Celtic.
He is a respected coach among Swedish fans.
JOE: What do you know about the Irish fans?
We know that they are one of Europe’s best. I watched a documentary about the World Cup in ’90 many times and even back then they were amazing.
The Irish fans seem very kind, they do not go looking for trouble and they always support the team. Pretty much the same as the Swedish supporters.
JOE: Do you think Ireland/Sweden will get out of the group?
Sweden will. Ireland will not.
JOE: Can either of us win the Euros outright?
Not Ireland. Sweden can but the chance is like one in a million.
