A Wexford punter had an agonising wait last night to see if his tenth and final horse in his accumulator had come through. He did after an inquiry and is €32,600 better off.

We have to admit we really enjoy hearing when these accumulators come off as they rarely do for anyone in the JOE office, though this Paddy Power customer had to sweat it out before his winnings came through.
He had backed 10 morning favourites and was nine from nine going into the final race at Dundalk. All he needed was 3/1 Atmospheric Way to come through the 9.20pm at Dundalk last night and this came to pass after a steward’s inquiry was called.
The €10 gamble netted the punter nearly €33,000 and Paddy Power were quick to acknowledge the feat.
“Having faced a stewards’ inquiry on the last leg it’s fair to say that he’s earned it, this is truly weapons grade punting and I hope he enjoys his winnings,” a spokesperson said.
Not bad for a day’s work.
