UFC 144 happened overnight in Japan. Here’s the knockout of the night.
It came in the opening fight, where Anthony Pettis took on Joe Lauzon in the lightweight division. Now he fight wasn’t great, or very long, but Pettis’ shin did the damage, knocking Lauzon out cold.
It scooped the knockout of the night prize and it was well deserved.
In the other big fights, a lacklustre Rampage Jackson lost to Ryan Bader while Benson Henderson narrowly beat Frankie Edgar in an epic battle decided by the judges.
It seems Henderson will now fight Pettis, with UFC supremo Dana White hinting at in the post-fight interviews, so that should be one to look forward to.
Just watch out for that lethal shin Ben if you do get in the octagon with Pettis.
