The woman involved in the recent accident with British cyclist Bradley Wiggins has been reported for summons.
Police in Lancashire, where the accident took place, confirmed that the female driver – identified in reports as Cath Burrows – voluntarily attended an interview after the incident.
While not seriously injured by the incident, Wiggins nonetheless suffered bruised arms and ribs.
In a statement he released afterwards he said, “Although I’m still a little bit sore I will now be spending time at home with my family and concentrating on making a full recovery.” He added, “I’m looking forward to getting back on the bike soon and continuing my preparations for the 2013 season.”
Expect to see the Tour de France winner and Olympic Gold Medalist back on the bike soon. You can’t keep a good champ down.
