Do you like playing video games? How about free ice cream? Then a job at EA might be the perfect position for you.
Around 25 companies, including the likes of Sky, Amazon and PayPal, all lined out in the Burlington Hotel Dublin yesterday for the Contact Centre and Outsourcing Jobs Fair. Another company that really drew in the job hunters was EA Games who have two Irish bases in both Dublin and Galway.
Sabien Brennan, head of recruitment at EA Games, said the company was looking to expand its centre in Galway, reports the Irish Independent. Seeing as EA only set up in Ireland last year, they’re now looking to recruit more people, however, there’s no word yet as to how many people they need. So you better get that CV dusted off and updated now before it’s too late.
The company likes to recruit people who already have a vast gaming knowledge so that they know exactly what the customer wants/needs and they also offer their workers major benefits, such as free ice cream (and boring stuff like life assurance).
“It’s a very relaxed working environment. We encourage all our workers to play games every day because they need to know what the customers are talking about,” said Ms Brennan.
“We work hard but we try to strike the right balance.”
