The site never goes too long without getting small but significant changes.
Between emojis and gifs it already seems like people are using the least amount of typed words possible to make a comment about something on social media, and now this will be furthered by facebook’s latest launch.
Earlier this month Facebook announced that they were launching a new way to comment, which involves leaving a video as a comment.
It seems that Facebook is really pushing the use of video on the site, perhaps to tap into the popularity of Snapchat.
You can leave a video comment by clicking on the camera icon in the comment box and uploading a clip.

The new feature was created at Facebook’s 50th Hackathon by engineer Bob Balwin who said “we wanted enable more engaging and immersive conversations.”
The feature is currently available on desktop for everyone and iOS and Android for some, but will soon be added to the mobile apps for everyone.
