EA have released the first footage of FIFA 12, with a video that demonstrates the game’s much-vaunted ‘Impact Engine’, which offers more realistic tackles.
The system for this year’s installment promises to ensure that players react to tackles depending on exactly where and how an impact hits their body. This manifests itself in eye-catching and authentic reactions, ably demonstrated in the clip below.
Already previews of the game have claimed that the feature instantly makes FIFA 12 appear unrecognisable to its forebears, while the strength of resilience of certain players will show on-field if they are less privy to being knocked around in real-life.
“The transformation FIFA 12 has undergone is revolutionary not evolutionary,” said Kaz Makita, Executive Producer for the FIFA franchise.
“To create the best and most authentic FIFA game ever, we needed new technology to deliver on our vision. Fans will see, and more importantly feel, the significance of the Player Impact Engine immediately.”
FIFA 12 currently has no release date but previous installment releases would suggest that the game is looking at an October launch. Have a look at the new and improved below and let us know what you think:
