EA’s Call of Duty parody ‘Duty Calls’ downloaded over 1.25m times

Is there any greater rank than that?

Fans of EA and Epic Game’s ribald upcoming shooter Bulletstorm were treated to a fully playable parody last week, as ‘Duty Calls‘ mercilessly ripped upon the success and machismo of the Call of Duty franchise, with exaggerated article and a nonsensical ranking system.

Do you have what it akes to become Master Sergeant Shooter Sergeant Important Person of the Sergeants Extreme? Then try out Duty Calls for yourself, we have the link for the free download here.

N-Dubz feature in music video created entirely within LittleBigPlanet 2

Great video, rubbish song – surprised?

N-Dubz may be one of the annoying music acts and yes, Dappy may actually resemble a Fraggle Rock character, however, we have to give our respects for the hip hop act for their latest video, Took It All Away, which was created entirely within LittleBigPlanet 2.

The single features on the group’s 2010 album, Love.Life.Life, and features Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer Sackboys in-game. We’ll be honest, the song isn’t up to much but the clip, embedded above, is definitely worth a look, especially for any LittleBigPlanet fans. You may want to use the mute button though.

Stacking (XBLA, 1200 MS Pts, PSN, €15)

We love the animation for the doll’s movement

With much-loved but unperforming titles such as Psychonauts and Brutal Legend under their belt, Double Fine Productions downloadable title Costume Quest finally brought the production house and owner Tim Schafer the attention and recognition they deserved.

The title’s cutesy but beguiling art style won over plenty of gamers and had us all wondering where the team would explore next? If you guessed a stacking game based on animated Russian matryoshka dolls in the 1930s, congratulations! Released this week, we haven’t got our hands on Stacking yet to offer a definitive opinion but for sheer originality, Double Fine are to be appluaded.

A dangerous vantage point for a screenshot, we’re sure you’ll agree

Boasting both the tropical island of Oahu of TDU 1 and now the sunkissed clubland of Ibiza, Test Drive Unlimited 2 brings back Atari’s ‘lifestyle driving game’ with suitable alomb. With new vehicles classes including SUVs and up to 32 vehicles available in free roam mode online, TDU 2 sounds like a must-have for any racer fans or those just looking for a virtual holiday. For those reasons and more, TDU 2 takes our top pick of week accolade – sorry Farming Simulator 2011.
