Valentine’s weekend is a weekend to be enjoyed by couples and lamented by those who are sick of the single life and wish they were part of a couple.
The latter group will no doubt be interested in a special event taking place in the popular Dublin pub, The Bernard Shaw on South Richmond Street, on Valentine’s night next Saturday.
Kicking off at 7pm, there will be a free glass of Prosecco for all those who show their Tinder profile at the bar, music will be provided by DJ Grapes and Hennessy and there’s also the promise of “a sexy special guest” is currently being kept under wraps.
Sorry to disappoint ladies, but, alas, it’s not any of the super-sexy members of the JOE editorial team.
As the organisers say themselves, the whole idea of the event is getting single people in and for them not to feel left out on the day.
They also stress that it’s not an anti-Valentines day party either, and that everyone is welcome.
Plus, by gathering Tinder-ers in the one place, it removes the need to try and be all clever and flirt on the app in the first place, instead requiring potential Romeos to, you know, actually talk to somebody in their pursuit of romance.
