The pictures certainly look legitimate.
Millions of people around the world will have their hands on shiny new iPhone 7 when it goes on release around the world on Friday, but it would seem as if some of them have slipped through the net earlier than expected.
JOE reader Andy Borwick sent us pictures this morning of a new iPhone 7 that he claims to have received on Wednesday morning after pre-ordering it last week.

Andy placed it beside an iPhone 6 in an attempt to prove its legitimacy and you can see the absence of a headphone jack, no antenna lines underneath the camera lens on the back and the box from which it came, distributed by Apple Distribution International in Cork.

The pictures helped to reduce our initial scepticism and we’re willing to give Andy the benefit of the doubt in this case.
Is Andy the only one to have received this precious bounty earlier than had been anticipated?
Feel free to let us know via the usual channels below.
