According to reports, the PS Vita might become a lot more handy when the PlayStation 4 gets launched later this year
By Adrian Collins
When we saw the PlayStation launch event way back in February, we noticed that they said the words “sharing” and “social”. They said them a lot.
What that did suggest was that a lot of stuff was going to happen “in the cloud” as they say, and one of those things is playing the games themselves.
Using Gaikai cloud technology, your Vita, according to the lads at Digitalspy.com, will become a PS4 in your pocket, which sounds pretty good to us.
No longer will you have to choose between FIFA and the toilet, you can just pick up the Vita and play the game on the handheld console instead, a lot like the way the Wii U works with the Wii.
Seems like it could be a very handy addition for gamers who have to travel a lot, and given that Sony are making it mandatory to include the compatibility on all titles that are released on the PS4, unless it requires other technology like the camera.
If you’re going to be gaming on the cloud, you’ll want a serious broadband connection with speeds of up to 70mb, so check out the good lads at Magnet, who will be filling your fatpipe so that you never have to worry about being connected.
