Samsung have announced details of their brand new Galaxy Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear 2 Neo smartwatches.

Both products will be available to buy from April, with the Independent reporting that they’ll cost roughly €300 apiece.

They feature 1.6-inch touchscreens that run apps through a smartphone connection, while the Galaxy Gear 2 has a 2-megapixel camera.

The slimmer Galaxy Gear 2 Neo watch has no camera, although both devices have fitness, calendar and productivity apps.

They incorporate a music player that you can connect to wireless headphones, and are compatible with several Samsung smartphones.

According to the Independent, “the new devices are the first smartwatches to run Tizen, a new operating system that is designed to be more flexible in running software an apps from a wider range of sources. Samsung’s original Galaxy Gear smartwatch ran a cut-down version of Android.”

Unconfirmed reports at this time state that they also tell the time. More on this as we get it.
