With just one week until the highly anticipated reboot of the Syndicate franchise, we’ve got our hands on the explosive launch trailer for the near-future shooter.

Featuring the futuristic sounds of Nero (we absolutely love Skrillex’s track for the first trailer too by the way) and the voice talents of Brian Cox (X2: X-Men United, Rushmore) and Rosaria Dawson (Seven Pounds), the game is is a new take on the strategy titles that won over gamers in the mid-1990s.

Set in 2069, Syndicate takes players into a dark world where corporations are vying for market dominance. With no government to question their intentions or actions, the three mega corporations – Eurocorp, Cayman Global, and Aspari – are at the forefront and Business is War.

Taking on the role of Miles Kilo, Eurocorp’s latest prototype agent, gamers have the latest bio-chip technology implanted in their head. Through this technology, known as the DART 6 chip, gamers can dilate time, see through walls, and breach the digital world and your enemies by using a variety of upgradable hacking mechanics. It certainly sounds like a unique and brutal sci-fi shooter experience and we were mightily impressed when we played the game late last year.

Featuring a solo Campaign mode and online 4 player- Co-op mode, we can’t wait to get our hands on the February 21st release, which is coming to Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Look out for a JOE review very soon.
