There had been a rumour going around the internet that changing the date on your iPhone to 1970 would unlock a cool, retro Apple logo but it turns out the reality is far more sinister.
It turns out that if you try to travel back in time with your iPhone, you will ‘brick’ the device – rendering it not only useless, but irreparable.
The lesson to take away from all this is to not mess around with the date on your phone. We know that bringing it back as far as January 1, 1970 will destroy it, and the same could be true for other dates.
