It’s the top trend in the world today.
Twitter is planning to introduce an algorithmic timeline to replace its current timeline and it may be in place as soon as next week.
BuzzFeed News has reported that your timeline will be based on what Twitter’s algorithm thinks people most want to see rather than the current reverse chronological order that tweets appear.
Twitter declined to comment on the story and it’s still not clear whether users will be forced to use the new timeline or it will be an option.
People are freaking out about the potential change, #RIPTwitter is the top trending in the world.
I'm on Twitter because I hate Facebook. Stop turning Twitter into Facebook but an edit button would be great #RIPTwitter @twitter

Seriously, though, making Twitter sort in non-chronological order and removing the 140 character limit are really bad ideas. #riptwitter

This is Twitter.
Twitter is trying to be like Facebook.
Don't be like Twitter.— R A L P H☁️ (@RalphJRanido) February 6, 2016

#RIPTwitter Don't tell me what I want to see and don't change Twitter. I would pay a fee for Twitter as it is, or contribute to fundraising.
