‘From bullfight to bull fright’ reads the Irish Examiner main headline this morning.

A bull managed to leap out of the arena and into the crowd in Tafalla near Pamplona, northern Spain yesterday afternoon. The bull was killed after it charged into the crowd, injuring around 40 spectators in the process, and now the incident has fuelled wider debate about the banning of bullfighting in Spain.

Meanwhile, back at home Bank of Ireland Scotland (Ireland) has announced it will wind up its operations in the country by the end of the year.

‘Firms face squeeze as battered bank beats a retreat’ headlines the Irish Independent.

Thousands of business will need to find a new bank after the Lloyds TSB-owned bank announced yesterday that it would cease trading here in December when it will hand in its banking licence.
