Liverpool have confirmed that Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani will join Italian giants Juventus on a season long loan deal.
The club issued a short statement on their website on Saturday morning confirming the deal had gone ahead and added that Aquilani will undergo a medical in Italy on Monday morning.
Aquilani joined Liverpool for £20million from Roma last summer but didn’t make his debut for the club until October due to injury and made little impact at the club for the rest of the season.
The 26-year old didn’t feature in either of Liverpool’s games last week and manager Roy Hodgson admitted after the Europa League victory over Trabzonspor on Thursday night that he hadn’t included Aquilani in case it soured any potential deal involving the player.
Liverpool have already signed Danish midfielder Christian Poulsen from Juventus this summer.
