Poor Carly Cole has been through the wringer following a carjacking ordeal. Here are some facts about the wife of Liverpool footballer Joe Cole.
Carly Cole (née Zucker) was famous in her own right before she got involved with her football star husband. The 26-year-old modeled for numerous fitness and fashion magazines before shooting to fame after appearing on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me out of Here!
Carly has been in the news most recently because she was the victim of a terrifying carjacking outside her family’s £3million townhouse in Chelsea, West London.
Eight men on motorbikes pounced on the Cole couple’s black Audi A4 and dragged helpless Carly out of the car before one of the thugs jumped in and sped off. Husband Joe Cole was inside the house at the time with their baby daughter Ruby.
The carjacking was revealed in court recently as former Chelsea player Cole was banned from driving for 50 days and fined €750 with €600 costs for speeding at 105mph.
Cole’s lawyer Nick Freeman, known as Mr Loophole, argued that the footballer should be allowed to keep his licence because Carly is “emotionally traumatised†and has been unable to drive since the carjacking.
Carly works as a fitness trainer and married Joe in June, 2009 but let’s dig a little deeper for some more interesting facts on the babe, one of which is our customary manufactured finding.
1. Carly always defends her man
Following her husband’s sending off in his first Premier League game for new club Liverpool, Carly jumped to his defence via Twitter.
Her Tweets included; “That so not a red card!!!!”, “He’s not a dirty player! Never has been!” and “Gutted”.
2. Carly idolises Raquel Welch
So much so that she recreated Welch’s One Million Years BC pose for an ad campaign. Carly showed her inner cavegirl in the ads for Lynx last year.
3. Carly finds it difficult to be rich
She famously spoke of how much a burden it is to be wealthy while in the jungle on I’m a Celeb. With her footballer husband Joe earning £90,000-a-week it must be hard work deciding what to spend all that mullah on. Poor girl.
4. Carly is planning a family of 10 children by her mid-thirties*
One down, nine more to go. At 26, Carly still has plenty of time to get busy with Joe, have more babies and get her dream team.
5. Carly practices ball skills with her husband
We all know she’s fit and actually works as a fitness instructor but Carly played football competitively in her earlier years. She’s been known to knock it about with Joe in the back garden from time to time.
