Damien Duff will miss Ireland’s upcoming European Championship qualifier against Armenia on Friday through injury.

The 31-year old suffered a calf problem during Fulham’s 2-2 draw with Blackpool on Saturday and will not travel to Yerevan with Giovanni Trapattoni’s squad.

Duff will be assessed by the club’s medical staff and could yet recover in time for Ireland’s clash with Andorra at the Aviva Stadium next Tuesday evening.

Blackburn midfielder Keith Andrews will miss both games with a groin injury, while Liam Lawrence, Keith Treacy and Paul McShane are all rated doubtful for Friday’s clash.
