Jack O’Connor will remain as manager of the Kerry senior football team for another three years after his nomination was ratified at a meeting of the County Board on Monday night.
Diarmuid Murphy, who retired as a player following the Kingdom’s All-Ireland success in 2009, has been brought on board as a selector and will work alongside existing members of O’Connor’s backroom staff – Ger O’Keefe as selector and Alan O’Connor as trainer.
O’Connor has guided Kerry to three All-Ireland titles during his time as manager – in 2004, 2006 and 2009.
