It could be worse – when we put our situation into a global context. This time: our very own Ronan Keating vs the Chilean miner – both have been caught cheating.
Boyzone star Ronan Keating has had a rough few months of it after he was caught playing away from home. Rumours wafted around that he was attempting to piece his marriage with Yvonne back together but the latest announcement issued from the couple states that they will remain separated but will work together to raise their children.
Ronan’s squeaky clean image was tarnished when Yvonne discovered he was having a torrid affair with backing dancer Francine Cornell. His situation, however, isn’t anywhere near the reality that trapped Chilean miner Yonni Barrios must face if he surfaces in a few months time.
Barrios’ wife, Marta Salinas, was astounded to hear another woman call out her husband’s name at a recent vigil held for the 33 miners who are trapped 2,300 feet underground.
After a quick chat the ladies figured out what Barrios had been up to – dating his longtime mistress while keeping his married life hidden from her. It is expected that the miners will not be rescued before Christmas, so Barrios can expect to receive an early present when he’s greeted by both of his love interests.
So Ronan, there’s no need to feel so bad. It could be worse.
