Liam Sheedy has named an unchanged Tipperary side from the team that beat Waterford in the semi-final for this Sunday’s All-Ireland final at Croke Park.

The team contains twelve survivors from the fifteen that lost out narrowly to Kilkenny in last year’s decider, with Michael Cahill, Gearóid Ryan and Patrick Maher replacing James Woodlock, Pat Kerwick and Seamus Callanan in the team that started the All-Ireland decider twelve months ago.

While Brian Cody’s side are chasing history by attempting to claim their fifth All-Ireland title in a row, this year’s Premier vintage would long be remembered if they could prevent Henry Shefflin and company from completing such a momentous achievement.

Noel McGrath has been selected at corner forward for Tipperary, but there is a chance he could be stationed at centre forward in a repeat of the tactic that worked so well against Waterford in the semi-final.

Throw-in at Croke Park is on Sunday at 3.30pm. The game will be tracked live on JOE in our GAA section.

TIPPERARY (SHC v Kilkenny): B Cummins; P Stapleton, P Curran, M Cahill; D Fanning, C O’Mahony, Pádraic Maher; B Maher, S McGrath; G Ryan, Patrick Maher, J O’Brien; N McGrath, E Kelly (captain), L Corbett.
