Wayne Rooney could lose a major sponsorship deal following his misbehaviour in the public eye.
US Coca-Cola chiefs are said to be horrified with Rooney’s much reported antics involving two prostitutes and are also said to be unhappy with a public urinating incident three months ago.
The £600,000 deal with Coca-Cola is a large chunk of the £2.5 million annual income Rooney receives from sponsors.
It is understood that the firm’s British executives are keen on keeping Rooney despite the Manchester United star’s negative publicity.
A source said: “Americans cannot fathom the laddish culture that surrounds football.’’
