Will Smith’s daughter Willow signs record deal with Jay-Z

Will Smith's nine-year-old daughter Willow is wasting no time trying to follow in her rapper/actor father's footsteps - she's just signed with Jay-Z's record label.

The dad Will is the biggest movie star in the world, the mum Jada mistakenly starred in the ill-fated Matrix sequels, the son Jaden is the new Karate Kid – is there any end to the Smith family’s talent?

Apparently not, as the nine-year-old daughter Willow has just signed a record deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label and already has the debut single to prove it.

Nine-year-old Willow (is every kid in this family named after a parent, Jada-Jaden?!), who also owns a clothing line, is launching her burgeoning hip hop career with debut single Whip My Hair, embedded below.

It’s been a busy year for the Smith brood – 12-year-old Jaden recently starred in the critically well-recieved The Karate Kid remake, which has grossed over €260m in the worldwide box office thus far. As for Willow’s debut track, JOE says that if you’re going to listen to one hip hop track recorded by a nine-year-old Rihanna wannabe, make sure it’s Whip My Hair.
