Manchester City’s injured striker Mario Balotelli could be ruled out until January.
The 20-year-old Italian injured himself during Manchester City’s Europa League clash with FC Timisoara on 19 August.
Tests on Balotelli highlighted damage to the lateral meniscus, and he underwent surgery in Italy last week.
He has been told to expect a recovery of ten weeks, and could be ruled out until the end of January.
Balotelli only joined Manchester City from Inter Milan last month for a fee of £22 million.
