Mike Spears, an independent candidate who owns a website design firm, called out Republican candidate David Vitter by demanding a mixed martial arts bout at an upcoming ‘Return of the Champions’ event at the Cajundome.

Spears challenged Vitter, who was linked to a Washington D.C. prostitution ring, saying, “You and other career politicians like yourself, hell-bent on ruining this nation, have blood on your hands – I think it’s time you have blood on your face.”

Spears continued, “I’m in this race — I’m in this fight — to restore the honour of Louisiana and of the nation.”

Spears, who has tagged himself as a constitutional conservative, is currently behind Vitter, who is the frontrunner in polls and in fundraising.
