Katie Taylor advanced to the semi-finals of the Women’s World Boxing in Barbados, after a convincing victory in the quarters.
Taylor completely dominated her light-welterweight quarter-final clash with Russian boxer Anastasia Balyakova, eventually coming out the winner 16-1.
The 24-year old Bray, Co. Wicklow native will now fight American boxer Queen Underwood in the semi-final on Friday.
Taylor has boxed Underwood on two previous occasions, winning both bouts.
If she wins the tournament proper, it will be Taylor’s third World Championship.
