Meanwhile, Man City’s £24 million signing David Silva scored the opening goal in their 2-0 win away to Red Bull Salzburg.
Man City manager Roberto Mancini was delighted with Silva’s performance, his comments published in the Star: “I think that David is a fantastic player.
“After one month it is already clear he will give 100 per cent for the team and be an important player for our future.
“I think he needed time to get to know the Premier League but now I don’t think there is any problem.â€
