Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in signing Ghanaian defender Isaac Vorsah, who currently plays for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

Reports in Germany suggest that Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has instructed his scouts to keep a close eye on 22-year old Vorsah, who has played 15 times for Ghana and was included in their squad for the World Cup in South Africa during the summer.

Vorsah’s contract with Hoffenheim expires next summer, meaning that he would be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with a new club as early as January of next year.

Due to the overwhelming debt that Liverpool currently find themselves in, young players that are available on free transfers, such as Vorsah, are an extremely attractive proposition.

Hodgson has already begun the rebuilding of the Liverpool squad he took over in the summer and has intimated that he will continue to do so over the course of the season, meaning that a move for Vorsah is a distinct possibility.
