A Dublin GAA club has jumped on the ‘sex sells’ bandwagon in order to recruit new male players from around the country.
Clanna Gael Fontenoy in Ringsend, Dublin, is trying to draw male lovers of GAA to their club by featuring a tasty lady in a saucy leather dress on the front of their new advertising campaign. The poster has a caption that reads: “Meet our new physio”.
If you want to have a glance at the poster in the flesh then just keep an eye out on the back of the toilet door (bit of a risky place to put it) in some Dublin pubs. Graphic design artist and Clanna Gael Fontenoy member Steve Mulreany designed the masterpiece.

Steve, who also makes caricatures that can be seen at www.smartfaces.carbonmade.com, told The Star, “The ads are definitely grabbing attention.
“Hopefully it will lead to further inquiries about the club and possibly new members for our junior and intermediate teams”.
Included with the poster is a text number which you have to text ‘I would’ to to get more info, and at the bottom of the poster lies a small, but crucial, amount of text: ‘Oh, and she’s not our real physio but she makes our poster look good’. There’s always a catch.
