Tough-guy actor Mark Wahlberg has confirmed that plans are in place for an Entourage movie.

Wahlberg was an executive producer on the hugely successful show that documented the life of an A-list actor and his close circle of friends, with plenty of the stories in the HBO series believed to be based on the man formerly known as Marky Mark’s own experiences of life in Hollywood.

The series, which was renowned for cameo appearances from celebrities and a bevy of beautiful women, came to an end in September last year after the conclusion of the eighth season, but without wanting to spoil the fun for fans who mightn’t have yet seen it through to the end, there was definitely scope for further material for the main characters Vince, E, Turtle, Johnny Drama and the incomparable Ari Gold.

Wahlberg has confirmed that a movie is indeed in the works and has promised that it will involve “sheer craziness”.

“That’s definitely something that we’re actively trying to put together,” he said.

“We’re just waiting for (series creator and writer) Doug Ellin to write the script.

He told GQ magazine recently: “People were complaining that episodes were too short.

“I think a 90-minute movie of sheer craziness – the guys getting back to just being about the guys, you know? Lose the ladies. Go crazy. Give people what they want.”

Sounds good to us.
